Sean Caulfield est né en 1967 à Rhode Island - USA. Il a obtenu sa maîtrise d’arts plastiques en 1995 à l’Université D’Alberta à Edmonton dans la province d’Alberta au Canada. Il enseigne la gravure à l’Illinois State University à Normal aux USA puis à l’Université d’Alberta au Canada.

Sean Caulfield vit et travaille à Alberta.

Ses travaux ont été distingués plusieurs fois ces dernières années aux USA, au Canada et au Japon. Il est représenté par la Galerie Kathlun Laverty d’Edmonton et la Galerie Horizons à Vancouver.

Ses premières expositions datent de 1995.
